Will Allah Reward Deed Of Unbeliever Or Not?

No they will not
It is not for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), to maintain the Mosques of Allah (i.e. to pray and worship Allah therein, to look after their cleanliness and their building, etc.), while they witness against their ownselves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide. [Quran 9:17]
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They! - their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). [Quran 9:69]
Yes they will
Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. [Quran 2:62]
So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. [Quran 99:7]

Is there a contradiction?
There is no such Contradiction. The Verse 2:62 talks about people who believe on Prophets earlier then Prophet Muhammad Pbuh.
Those Jews and Christians, and Sabians will have a Reward with their Lord those who had faith In God (Allah) and worked rightousness, before arrival of Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h) that is why Salman Farsi ( A close Comapanion ) narrates about the verse 2:62
‘Salman Farisi (RA) said, ‘This verse was revealed when I made a mention of the of the prayers and fasting of those believers whom I had met before coming to the Holy Prophet (PBUH)’.
Further Imam Ibn Kathir states regarding Surah 2:62
The faith of the Jews were those who stuck to the teachings of the Torah and the Sunnah of Moses until Jesus came. When Jesus came those who used to stick to the teachings of the Torah and followed the Sunnah of Moses and if he did not leave it and follow Jesus then he was in the wrong. And the faith of the Christians are those who stuck to the teachings of the Gospel and the Sharia of Jesus was a believer acceptable by Him (God) until Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came so those who don't follow Muhammad (PBUH) and let go of what they followed from the teachings of Jesus and the Gospel are in the wrong.
(Tafsir of Ibn Kathir, Commentary on Surah 2:62) Source
So Surah 2:62 are talking about those true Christians and Jews that stuck to the true teachings of the previous Prophets and the true uncorrupted revelations of God not today's one

Coming on Quran 99:7
The Non-believer will be rewarded for good deeds in the world but not in Hereafter.
Allah then revealed the following verse about a group of people who thought that they are not rewarded for any small goodness they do nor punished for any small evil they commit, and so Allah urged them to do acts of goodness even if they are small and warned them against acts of evil even if they are small acts: (And whoso doeth good an atom’s weight) the weight of the smallest ant (will see it then) in his register and then will be happy with it; it is also said: the believer sees his works in the Hereafter while the disbeliever sees his works in the life of the world,
(Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs, Commentary on Surah 99:7) Source
So as we see, the reward of the disbelievers is in this life. They can enjoy the pleasures of this life, but no reward will be given to them in the next life.

What was man created from, blood, clay, dust, or nothing?
  1. "Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood," (96:2).
  2. "We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape, (15:26).
  3. "The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was," (3:59).
  4. "But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?" (19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).
  5. "He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (16:4).
So From which thing is man made up of?

The first verse talks about creation of human being from no more then a blood cell just like a clot. When an embryo is formed the human is nothing more then a small tiny creature filled with blood. The blood consists of red and white blood cells which are described as "Clot of Blood" in 96:2
See Fig And Explanation Below

Diagram of the primordial cardiovascular system in an embryo of about 21 days, viewed from the left side. Observe the transitory stage of paired symmetrical vessels. (Keith Moore). Each heart tube continues dorsally into a dorsal aorta that passes caudally.
The external appearance of the embryo and its sacs is similar to that of a blood clot, due to the presence of relatively large amounts of blood present in the embryo.

The second verse talks about a scientific miracle of Quran. See below link
Quranic Miracle and Creation from clay

The third verse only talks about creation of Adam not the whole mankind, that is why Adam is specially refered in the verse

The fourth verse talks about existence of man on earth. That is the man was nothing before his creation and he never knows that he existed before his creation.
Quran 52:35 states in this regard that man think they are creators of themselves but they were created from nothing that is they didn't even exist before
"Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?" [Quran 52:35]

The fifth verse talks about science and creation of human from sperm drop. This is another miracle of Holy Quran!

What Is Punishment For Adultery?

What Is Punishment For Adultery?

Is it
"The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment."  [Quran 24:2]
Or Is it
"And those of your women who commit illegal sexual intercourse, take the evidence of four witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine them (i.e. women) to houses until death comes to them or Allah ordains for them some (other) way. And the two persons (man and woman) among you who commit illegal sexual intercourse, punish them both. And if they repent (promise Allah that they will never repeat, i.e. commit illegal sexual intercourse and other similar sins) and do righteous good deeds, leave them alone. Surely, Allah is Ever the One Who accepts repentance, (and He is) Most Merciful." [Quran 4:15-16]

Is there a contradiction?

There is no contradiction in these verses the first verse 24:2 talks about punishment for those who are unmarried where as 4:15-16.
Sahih Translation
" The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual intercourse - lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah , if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment." [24:2]
Well one might think that why a married woman can't be set free if she repent?
Yes she can be set free if repent
Al-Nissa 4:16 is speaking about both men and women, not as he claims, only men. The "dual" form of all verbs are used throughout. It says:
"And the two among you who are guilty thereof, punish them both. But if they both repent and mend [their ways] then leave them both alone. Verily! Allah is Oft-Relenting, Most-Merciful."

Well, A minority of commentators have suggested that this verses applies to sodomites as suggested by Mujahid, and this opinion appears to have been adopted by Yusuf Ali in his translation. However the consensus in this matter is that it refers to the adulterous partners, man and woman. Nowhere in the original Arabic verse does the word "man" or "men" appear. It only repeats the word "both" as seen in the above translation. For more on this issue you may read "Safwat Al-Tafaseer" by Muhammad Al-Sabooni.

Was Solomon A Pagan Prophet?

There are some verses from Bible which potrays Solomon as a Pagan Prophet.

Why King Solomon turn to other gods?
"As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods." [1 Kings 11:4]

Why did king Solomon build idols?
The king also desecrated the pagan shrines east of Jerusalem, to the south of the Mount of Corruption, where King Solomon of Israel had built shrines for Ashtoreth, the detestable goddess of the Sidonians; and for Chemosh, the detestable god of the Moabites; and for Molech, the vile god of the Ammonites. [2 Kings 23:13]

The story of Solomon in 2 Chronicles1-9 is highly equivalent to 1 Kings 2-10.   However, Ezra in 2 Chronicles drops the section of 1 Kings11 as if this is so unimportant.  Even chapter 2 Kings 23 mentions that King Josiah destroyed the idols (made by Solomon in verse 2 Kings 23:13).  However, 2 Chronicles 34-35 does not mention that these idols were made by Solomon.  It seems that Ezra in Chronicles does not know anything about Solomon worshipping idols or at least dropping it as if it is unimportant.

How Can There Be Light Without Light Source?

Genesis 1:3-5
"And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day"

We see that on first day God created light and seperated it from darkness, and named it day and night without mention of "Moon" or "Sun".
Then we see on that on fourth day God created two lights that is "Moon" and "Sun" to govern day and night.

Genesis 1:14-19
And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,  and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth,  to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

1- How can there be light without sun or a light source?
Note = Dont say God can do anything it will be illlogical and unscientific
2- How can there be day and night without a light source?
3- On first day God already seperated day and night, then what was he seperating on fourth day? or was He doing it again?

Does Moon Have Its Own Light?

God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. [Genesis 1:16-18]

We read in Genesis 1:16 that God made two lights. One light to govern the day that is sun and lesser light for night that is moon. This statement is further proof by Genesis 1:18 when God place both lights to govern night and day.
There is however an error there is only ONE light which is sun light, Moon doesn't have its own light. The moon light is reflected by Sun. "Moonlight" is, actually, reflected sunlight. The moon does not produce its own light.

The Moon is not a light source, it does not make its own light.
The moon reflects light from the sun.
We can see the Moon because light from the Sun bounces off it back to the Earth.
If the Sun wasn't there, we wouldn't be able to see the Moon.
The Sun always lights up (illuminates) one side of the Moon.

Bible | Is Earth 6000 Years Old?
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth [Genesis 1:1]
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them [Genesis 1:27]

The Bible provides a timeline stating the first day of creation of Earth and Heavens which dates back to 4000 B.C. This refers to formation of Earth before 4000 years of Jesus's birth. This is so not true as today's science states that earth is more than 32.5 billion years ago. If God created man and earth in the begining then from where we get remains of dinosaur which existed 230 to 63 million years ago.?

1- The First Human Community
2- What About Fossil Fuels?
3- What About Mayans?
4- Responses To Christians

1- The First Human Community
According to scientific sources the first human community lived nearly half a million years ago. Some early human communities include:
Homo line include Homo habilis which lived ~ 2.5 million years ago,
And Homo erectus which lived ~ 1.8 million years ago.
Thus, the first humans appeared nearly half a million years ago. Who they were and what they did represents a large field of study, pursued by Archaeologists, Anthropologists and Evolutionary Biologists.

There had been human communities before 4000 B.C. One was near Israel
"University of Connecticut (UC) scientists working at a 12,000 year-old archeological site in Israel say they have evidence that ancient feasts to celebrate the burial of the dead brought about the world's first established communities. UC anthropologist Natalie Munro and co-workers found clear evidence of feasting at the ancient Hilazon Tachtit Cave burial site near Karmiel, Israel. Unusually high densities of butchered tortoise and wild cattle led them to conclude that the Natufian community members who lived in the area at the time gathered at the site for special rituals to commemorate the burial of the dead, and that feasts were central elements. The Natufian people occupied the area around Karmiel, near the Mediterranean Sea some 14,500 to 11,500 years ago."

2- What About Fossil Fuels?
Fossil fuels are resources which include petrol, gas, etc. They take thousands of years to form and are made through process of decompostion. If Earth and everything in it was created before 6002 years how had fossil fuels formed so quickly?
Is Science wrong or Bible?
Fossil fuels are fuels formed by natural processes such as anaerobic decomposition of buried dead organisms. The age of the organisms and their resulting fossil fuels is typically millions of years, and sometimes exceeds 650 million years
[Paul Mann, Lisa Gahagan, and Mark B. Gordon, "Tectonic setting of the world's giant oil and gas fields," in Michel T. Halbouty (ed.) Giant Oil and Gas Fields of the Decade, 1990–1999, Tulsa, Okla.: American Association of Petroleum Geologists, p.50, accessed 22 June 2009.]

3- What About Mayans?
Bible give clear accounts about 2000 B.C. Mayans were people living in Mexico in 2000 B.C from 650 Ad. How did they reached there ? Why Bible doesn't provide any evidence for the Mayans? Did someone seperated them form timeline?
Or someone omitted it from Bible timeline or Biblical God was not willing to talk about such advanced people?
It is to be noted that Noah's flood come in 3000 B.C and Mayans lived in 2000 B.C.

4- Responses To Christians
Christians present following statements to support thier argument.
A- The Bible doesn't say that the earth is 6000 years old. The Genesis creation account reveals a "re-creation" [a refurbishing] of the earth, because something destroyed it and made it "without form and void."
B- Genesis 1:27 states that life on earth was created before 6002 years ago this doesn't mean that earth was created before 6002 years

Argument 1:

None of the matters doesn't hold strong support to prove that earth is 6002 years old . If the earth was destroyed by something this would have cause many changes in solar system. If there was Earth and it got destroyed by something then what about the Earth's Moon and Sun? Were they destroyed too?
However, if we accept the first argument that earth was destroyed and was re-created by God then how does fossil fuels took place in it?
Did God created it?
Eventually fossil fuels takes more than 4000 years time to form and decompose.

Argument 2:
Was the life in earth came into existence just before 6002 years? Was the first human created 6002 years ago?
However second argument is worthless Bible clearly states that Earth was created 6002 years ago
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" [Genesis 1:1]
This contradicts science again. Humans were living on earth more then million years ago such as Homo habilis which lived 2.5 million years ago. The remains of society existed more then 4000 years ago which we found today were too created by God or are Archaeologist making a fraud?
The picture below shows that before 4000 B.C God created Man, Heavens and the Earth.
-----------------------------------------------
Following question was received by me by Anonymous
Q. Please clarify. I did not find Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:27 speaking about 6002 years. Please clarify on the topic that where does it say the timespan of 6002 or so years? I'm not arguing, but I want to know

Ans. Assalam O Alikum Brother. Bible states that before the arrival of Jesus there were 4000 years only that is 4000 BC [See Pic Below taken from Online Bible http://bible.cc/]. Today we are living in AD that is years after arrival of Jesus and it have been 2013 years now. So 4000BC + 2013AD makes up 6013 years. This states that the human life on earth and earth itself is 6013 years old. It is clearly stated by Online Bible site "4000BC- God created THE EARTH AND MAN". In Conclusion we see

1- 4000 years before arrival of Jesus
2- 2013 years after coming of Jesus makes up to 6013 years in total.
Hope this help

Does Allah Forgive Shirk (Polytheism) Or Not?

Does Allah Forgive Shirk (Polytheism) Or Not?

Like us on facebook:

Does Allah Forgive Shirk Or Not?
Allah does not forgive shirk, except after repenting from it. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Abridged, Darussalam Publishers & Distributors, 2000, vol. 2, p. 481)

Some Non-Muslims try to contradict Quran on the subject of shirk. Does Allah forgive shirk? Does Allah forgive all sins?
The related verses are :

"Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed," [Quran 4:48]  See Also 4:116
And:
"The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority," [Quran 4:153]

Is there a contradiction? No!
The first verse talks about Hereafter whereas second verse talks about forgiveness in wordly life after repentance
Allah forgives shirk if the person repents in his wordly life because Allah love and accept repentance and is Most Merciful. Quran says
"Allah accepts the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards. To them will Allah turn in mercy. Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom" [Quran 4:17]

Allah has told us that he will forgive all sins for the one who repents to Him. He says
“Say: ‘O ‘Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is OftForgiving, Most Merciful’” [Quran 39:53]
This includes all sins, even shirk. Whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance. With regard repentance from shirk in particular and the acceptance thereof, Allah says
“And those who invoke not any other ilaah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful” [Quran 25:68-70]

On Day of Judgement Allah will forgive all types of sins except Shirk that is He will not forgive those people who die in polytheism and never repent from it. Allah does not forgive is the major Shirk if someone dies persisting on it.
Allah Ta'ala says : "Allah does not forgive (the sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgives whom He pleases other sins than this."[Quran 4:116].

The meaning of the verse is that whoever dies while a Mushrik (polytheist) Allah will not forgive him and he will surely be punished for this sin, i.e. he will remain in Hell-fire forever. As for the person who repents from Shirk whether small Shirk or major, Allah forgives his previous Shirk and accept his repentance. Allah Ta'ala Says : "Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven." [Quran 8: 38]

Further my argument can also be supported by Quranic verses 5:73-74 when Allah call Christians to Islam and ask them to turn to forgiveness and repentance.
"Surely, disbelievers are those who said: “Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity).” But there is no Ilaah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilaah (God —Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them. Will they not turn with repentance to Allah and ask His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful” [Quran 5:73-74]

Allah forgives every sins in the world if a person repentance from it and accept Allah as the One and Only God to be worshipped

" All you have to do is to turn to Allaah, regret what you did and resolve not to do it again. Then receive the glad tidings of the bounty and mercy of Allaah, for Islam wipes out whatever sins came before it, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him): “O ‘Amr, do you not know that Islam wipes out whatever came before it.” [Narrated by Muslim 121; Ahmad 17861]

"And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as hasan by al-Albaani.]

The 30 Liars Before Last Hours

Taken From Shaib Ahmed

Jabir Ibn Samurah said, "I heard the Prophet say, 'Just before the Hour there will be many liars.'" Jabir said, "Be on your guard against them." (Muslim).

Jabir said, "I heard the Prophet say, 'Just before the Hour there will be many liars; among them is the one in al-Yamamah, the 'Ansi in San'a', the one in Himyar, and the Dajjal. This will be the greatest fitnah.''' (Ahmad)

Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, "The Hour will not come until nearly 30 "dajjals" (liars) appear, each one claiming to be a messenger from Allah.'" (al-Bukhari Muslim.)

Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, 'The Hour will not come until 30 "dajjals" appear, each of them claiming to be a messenger from Allah, wealth increases, tribulations appear and al-Harj increases.'" Someone asked, 'What is al-Harj?' He said, 'Killing, killing.' ( Ahmad)

Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, 'The Hour will not come until 30 "dajjals" appear, all of them lying about Allah and His Messenger." (Abu Dawud)

Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, 'Just before the Hour, there will be 30 "dajjals", each of whom will say, I am a Prophet.'" (Ahmad).

Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, 'There will be "dajjals" and liars among my Ummah. They will tell you something new, which neither you nor your forefathers have heard.Be on your guard against them, and do not let them lead you astray.'" (Ahmad)

Thawban said, "The Prophet said, 'There will be 30 liars among my Ummah. Each one will claim that he is a prophet; but I am the last of the Prophets (Seal of the Prophets), and there will be no Prophet after me.'" (Ahmad)

The Prophet said, "Verily before the Day of Resurrection there will appear the Dajjal, and30 or more liars." (Ahmad)

Ibn 'Omar said, "I heard the Prophet say, 'Among my Ummah there will be more than 70 callers, each of whom will be calling people to Hell-fire. If I wished, I could tell youtheir names and tribes.'"

Abu Bakrah said, "The people spoke a great deal against Musaylimah before the Prophet said anything about him. Then the Prophet got up to give a speech and said: 'as for this man about whom you have spoken so much - he is one of the 30 liars who will appear before the Hour, and there is no town which will not feel the fear of the Antichrist.'" (Ahmad)
In another version of this report, the Prophet said, "He is one of the 30 liars who will appear before the Dajjal. There is no town which will escape the fear of the Dajjal, apart from Madînah. At that time there will be two angels at every entrance of Madina, warding off the fear of the Antichrist."

Anas Ibn Malik said, "The Prophet said, 'The time of the Dajjal will be years of confusion. People will believe a liar, and disbelieve one who tells the truth. People will distrust one who is trustworthy, and trust one who is treacherous; and the Ruwaybidah will have asay.' Someone asked, 'Who are the Ruwaybidah?' He said, 'Those who rebel against Allah and will have a say in general affairs.'" (Ahmad)

The Problem With Book Of Revelation

The Book of revelation often known as Revelation is usually been criticised because of its content and different from all books.
The book of revelation describes Jesus as not the one of Gospel but gives entirely different image of him.

1- Is this end of world?

Anyone who has read the popular “Left Behind”novels or listened to pastors preaching about the “rapture” might see Revelation as a blow-by-blow preview of how the world will end. Pagels, however, says the writer of Revelation was actually describing the way hisown world ended. She says the writer of Revelation may have been called John – the book is sometimes called “Book of the Revelation of Saint John the Divine” but he was not the disciple who accompanied Jesus. He was a devout Jew and mystic exiled on the island of Patmos, off the coast of  present-day Greece. Revelation was an anti-Roman tract and a piece of war propaganda wrapped in one. The message: God would return and destroy the Romans who had destroyed Jerusalem.

2- History, context and writer of Book
We should remember that “Revelation” was always doubted in Eastern Christianity and not generally accepted into the New Testament until AD 508.  Some ancient Christian branches still do not include it in their Bibles.  So, we know  discussion and criticism of “Revelation” is not new and is not a disrespectful activity. The Greek literary styles of John Patmos and John Apostle were examined in very early Christianity to prove these are two different writers. Eighteen hundred years ago, Dionysius (Bishop of the Patriarchy of Alexandria) stated that “Revelation” was not written by the same person who wrote John’s Gospel and Letters, (Eusebius’ History of the Church, 7.25).

It is generally believed John of Patmos recorded his hallucination around AD 90-95.  The Apostles John and Paul believed the authentic scriptures were completed during their life times. John (8:31-32; 17:20) and Paul (Eph. 3:20) wrote those opinions at least thirty years before John of Patmos wrote.  Based on this alone, "Revelation" is post Apostolic literature. Obviously it was not written by the Apostle John because of its death curse at chapter 22:18-19. John wrote of God's never ending love and did not put such an abomination in his Gospel or his letters. The fact is Book of Revelation was written in 60 C.E after so many years of Jesus departure.

Eusebius in his detailed history of the Christian Church (AD 324; see his comments on "Revelation" at Eusebius 3.25) listed uncertain books of the New Testament and included "Revelation" as one of those. So "Revelation" was doubted in the church very early. Looking at Patmos' beliefs can explain Paul's peevishness against such beliefs that caused him to finally say to them,“Trouble me no more” (Galatians 6:17)

3- How many books were there?
Early church leaders suppressed an “astonishing” range of books that claimed to be revelations from apostles such as Peter and James. Many of these books were read and treasured by Christians throughout the Roman Empire. There was even another “Secret Revelation of John.” In this one, Jesus wasn’t a divine warrior, but someone who first appeared to the apostle Paul as a blazing light, then as a child, an old man and, some scholars say, a woman.

Bishop Athanasius, a pugnacious church leader who championed Revelation about 360 years after the death of Jesus. Athanasius was so fiery that during his 46 years as bishop he was deposed and exiled five times. He was primarily responsible for shaping the New Testament while excluding books he labeled as hearsay. Many church leaders opposed including Revelation in the New Testament. Athanasius’s predecessor said the book was “unintelligible, irrational and false.”
So why did the revelation from John of Patmos make it into the Bible, but not the others?

4- More Criticism
Nineteenth-century agnostic Robert G. Ingersoll called Revelation "the insanest of all books."[Robert Green Ingersoll. "The Devil". Retrieved 2007-11-30]
Thomas Jefferson omitted it, along with most of the Biblical canon, from the Jefferson Bible, and wrote that at one time he considered it as "merely the ravings of a maniac, no more worthy nor capable of explanation than the incoherences of our own nightly dreams."[Bergh: Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Vol.16]
Friedrich Engels claimed that the Book of Revelation was primarily a political and anti-Roman work.["The Book of Revelation"]

Martin Luther changed his perspective on Revelation over time. In the preface to the German translation of Revelation that he composed in 1522, he said that he did not consider the book prophetic or apostolic, since "Christ is neither taught nor known in it." But in the completely new preface that he composed in 1530, he reversed his position and concluded that Christ was central to the book. He concluded, "As we see here in this book, that through and beyond all plagues, beasts, and evil angels, Christ is nonetheless with the saints and wins the final victory."
[ For the preface of 1522 see Luther's Works volume 35 pp. 398–399. For the quotation of the preface from 1530 see the same volume, p. 411.]

5- Some Observations and Contradictions

A- Why does John Patmos call Jesus the "Bright and Morning Star"? (Revelations 22:16)
That is how Isaiah describes Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-14).

B- Does the strange description of Jesus (Revelations 1: 12-16) match up with the Jesus of the Gospels?  Does that match your opinion of humble and humane Jesus?

C- Group judgment starts with Ephesus, at Revelation 2: 1. Patmos’ Jesus says salvation of the whole Ephesus groupdepends on them loving him more (Revelations 2:4).
Here again “Revelation” contradicts Apostle John’s Gospel that teachessalvation depends only on belief in Jesus (John 11: 25-26).

D- Christians should know they are not going to live eternally in Hell if they do not accept every word in Patmos’ “Revelation.”  (Revelation 22: 18-19)

Wife Beating In Bible And Christianity

"To the woman he said,  "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." Genesis 3:16
"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior." Ephesians 5:22-23
Also Read: Wife Beating In Islam, Allowed or Not?

Where in the entire Bible is the wife beating prohibited?
Doesn't Bible consider it necessary to condemn it?
Why early Christians beat thier wife?
Some Christians still beat thier wife. Then what's the problem are they anti-bible?

The Bible doesn't only provoke beating but also instructs husbands to cut their hands if they think thier wife defend him in a wrong way.
"And in case men struggle together (in a fight) with one another, and the wife of the one has come near to deliver her husband out of the striking one (to save her husband), and she has thrust out her hand and grabbed hold of his private (the other man's groin), she must then get both her hands cut off, and the eyes of the men must feel no sorrow." [Deuteronomy 25:11-12]

Bible states women were created to serve men and is glory of men not Lord,
" If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man." [1 Corinthians 11:6-7]
But what if women doesn't serve the man?
Well a Bible says beating can fix this problem!
"Young people take pride in their strength, but the gray hairs of wisdom are even more beautiful. A severe beating can knock all of the evil out of you!
[From the Contemporary English Version (CEV) Bible, Proverbs 20:29-30]"

Well whatever it is better for husband to live alone or in desert, wilderness than sharing house with quarrelsome wife
"It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife." [Proverbs 25:24]
"Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife." [Proverbs 21:19]
Well I think it would be better for husband to go and time with her rather then going into a desert

Hosea 3:1 clearly proves that one can beat his wife
" Then the LORD said to me, "Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the LORD still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them." [Hosea 3:1]

What should a husband do when her wife seeks for another God?
"Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed."  Exodus 22:20
"Stone everyone who has religious views that are different than your own."  Deuteronomy 17:2-7

What about if wife is a adulterer? Well there is a death punishment for adultery
“If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman and the woman; so shalt thou put away evil from Israel." [Deuteronomy 22.22]

Why doesn't the Bible condemn wife beating? Was it not necessary? Jesus too didn't really care at all about it, or gave it much thought.

Why early Christians beat thier wife?

Given that the Bible nowhere condemns torture and sometimes prescribes shockingly cruel penalties (such as burning alive), and that Christians so wholeheartedly approved of self-torture, it’s not surprising that they thought little of inflicting appallingly cruel treatment upon others. At the height of Christianity’s power and influence, hundreds of thousands of "witches" were brutally tortured and burned alive under the auspices of ecclesiastical witch finders, and the Inquisition visited similarly cruel treatment upon those accused of heresy. Henry Charles Lea records:

Two hundred wretches crowded the filthy gaol and it was requisite to forbid the rest of the Conversos [Jews intimidated into converting to Christianity] from leaving the city [Jaen, Spain] without a license. With Diego’s assistance [Diego de Algeciras, a petty criminal and kept perjurer] and the free use of torture, on both accused and witnesses, it was not difficult to obtain whatever evidence was desired. The notary of the tribunal, Antonio de Barcena, was especially successful in this. On one occasion, he locked a young girl of fifteen in a room, stripped her naked and scourged her until she consented to bear testimony against her mother. A prisoner was carried in a chair to the auto da fe with his feet burnt to the bone; he and his wife were burnt alive . . . The cells in which the unfortunates were confined in heavy chains were narrow, dark, humid, filthy and overrun with vermin, while their sequestrated property was squandered by the officials, so that they nearly starved in prison while their helpless children starved outside.
This misogynistic bias in Christianity’s basic texts has long been translated into misogyny in practice. Throughout almost the entire time that Christianity had Europe and America in its lock grip, women were treated as chattel—they had essentially no political rights, and their right to own property was severely restricted. Perhaps the clearest illustration of the status of women in the ages when Christianity was at its most powerful is the prevalence of wife beating. This degrading, disgusting practice was very common throughout Christendom well up into the 19th century, and under English Common Law husbands who beat their wives were specifically exempted from prosecution. (While wife beating is still common in Christian lands, at least in some countries abusers are at least sometimes prosecuted.

Well whatever some Christian husbands still beat and abuse thier wife. I found a Christian women asking such question
"Dear Sir, my husband is a leader in a popular church in the Bahamas. We have been married for more than fifteen years and for the past five years he has become very abusive. He was first emotionally abusive, then physically abusive after he was chosen to serve in an outstanding church position. The church members do not believe that he is abusive because he is so "nice" and popular. The members often make me feel that I am the problem. Why do Christian men abuse their wives? Need help."

Is wine consumption good or bad?

Does Quran contradict on chapter of wine. Is it good or bad?
Some Non-Muslims try to contadict Quran by following verses

Wine Is Bad
O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper," (5:90).
Wine Is Good
(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (47:15).
And,
Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things): Thou wilt recognize in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss. Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed," (83:22-25).

Is there a Contradiction? No!
Why Some Forbidden Things On Earth Are Allowed In Heaven
There is no contradiction. The first verse that is 5:90 talks about forbidding wine in earthly life as it can cause serious consequences.
The later verse talks about the wine in Heaven which will be much different from the wine produced on earth and will be without intoxicant and will not let individual to commit harms to other. Wine of Paradise does not contain the very ingredient which has made it prohibited in this life. Specifically, intoxicants. See verses below.

Volume 009, Book 093, Hadith Number 589.
Narated By Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "Allah said, "I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) It would not take a rocket scientist to know what the earthly wine has done to the wild West. It has not only created alcoholics but also broken down homes. A person who got drunk does not remember what happened to him when he was drunk and Allah in His Divine wisdom says:

" O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?" [Qur'ân 5:90-91]

So, the earthly wine has a character of not only intoxicating the person but also to make him stop remembering Allah who has created him to worship Him alone. What does the wine in Paradise do? Does it intoxicate the people who drink it? No!

"In gardens of felicity, facing each other on thrones, round will be passed a cup from a clear flowing fountain, crystal white, of a taste delicious to those who drink thereof, Free from headiness; Nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom." [Qur'ân 37:45-47]
Why Some Forbidden Things On Earth Are Allowed In Heaven

So, it is pretty clear if we compare the verses

Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed [Qur'ân 83:25]
(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. [Qur'ân 47:15]

With the ones in 37:43-47 (as mentioned above), it is clear that the drink of Paradise is not like the earthly drink. It is free from headiness and intoxication.

How Forbidden Things Are Allowed In Heaven Of Islam? Example : Wine

Many people have a misconception about Islamic Paradise. The earth and Paradise are completely different things. There will no intoxicant, gambling, backbiting in Paradise. The wine which is forbidden on earth will be different from wine of Paradise

"In gardens of felicity, facing each other on thrones, round will be passed a cup from a clear flowing fountain, crystal white, of a taste delicious to those who drink thereof, Free from headiness; Nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom." [Qur'ân 37:45-47]

The key point is that life in Heaven is a completely different life as that of earth.
In paradise, the believers will enjoy things that were forbidden for them on Earth, possibly for at least 3 reasons:

(a) These lucky individuals have proved the obedience to God on Earth and now, in paradise, God wants to reward them by granting them the opportunity to enjoy the things they willingly chose to stay way from on Earth out of the obedience to God.

(b) God forbids certain things on Earth because they have bad consequences on a person’s health, family life, society, etc. Because life in paradise is totally different from life on Earth, such bad consequences do not exist in paradise.

(c) As a reward to them for thier patience in wordly life and having self-control on not indulging in Haram (Forbidden) things, which can cause harm just not to an individual but also to society and people around him.

The Origin Of Yahweh, The Moon God
Is Yahweh Moon God?
Wife/ Consort of Yahweh

"He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the temple of the LORD and where women did weaving for Asherah (Consort/Wife)" [2 Kings 23:7]

This Babylonian/Egypt deity is also called Baal throughout the Scriptures.  The Jews did worshiped the moon god when they apostated into idolatry from the true God Ehyeh asher Ehyeh (Elohim/Adonai).  Look up the word moon in Hebrew and it is "yareah" which is the same as "Yahweh."  Modern Hebrew spells it different now to distort the real identity of their ancient Yah god.  They now spell it "yareach."  No matter, real scholars know the truth!

"Originally, these four consonants [in YHWH] represented the four members of the Heavenly Family: Y represented El the Father; H was Asherah the Mother; W corresponded to He the Son; and H was the Daughter Anath. In accordance with the royal traditions of the time and region, God's mysterious bride, the Matronit, was also reckoned to be his sister. In the Jewish cult of the Cabbala God's dual male-female image was perpetuated. Meanwhile other sects perceived the Shekinah or Matronit as the female presence of God on Earth. The divine marital chamber was the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Temple, but from the moment the Temple was destroyed, the Matronit was destined to roam the Earth while the male aspect of Jehovah was left to rule the heavens alone." -
[ Laurence Gardner, Bloodline of the Holy Grail, p. 18]

Queen Of Heaven ?
Does Yahweh had a wife Asherah?

"We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm. But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine," Jeremiah 44:17-18

Her name is Asherah. She is known in Greek and Roman mythology as Astarte, the Phoenician (coastal Canaanite) goddess of love and fertility. In the old Testament she is called Astoreth, or by the plural form Ashtaroth. When you see how the Israelites condemn the worship of Asherah, you'd think that her marriage with El is dysfunctional. Seems like it, though. And apparently, much of it has to do with her strongest son, Baal. Before we take up Baal, however, let's see this very colorful brood of divine beings to which he belongs.

Yahweh had a WIFE

(A) In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshiped both Yahweh and Asherah.

(B) George Hart, "A Dictionary of Egyptian Gods and Goddesses", Mentions that YAH is a MOON GOD of the EGYPTIANS.

(C) William G. Dever
Yahweh had a consort Asherah some even go to say that Asherah was Yahweh's wife
http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/1357073?uid=2&uid=4&sid=21101511405021
In fact, the Israelites were still very much polytheistic here, and they still adored Asherah as the Mother of Heaven, or the consort of El, El Elyon, or Yahweh. It wasn't until around 600 BCE did we have Monotheism start taking root by strict Yahwists and reformists, and where Ahserah was seemingly edited out of the bible as Yahweh's consort. It is here where Yahwism became monotheistic and considered all other GODs as false idols to which included Asherah.

The verses 2 Samuel 7:6 further tells that Yahweh is a pagan God dwelling in house, temples, etc build by man
" I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling. " (2 Samuel 7:6)

"Early in Canaanite religion, the male moon-god, "Yerach," was the chief god of the pantheon. And the female sun-god, "Shamash," was his cohort. Later, these were changed to Baal and Ashteroth. "To judge from Canaanite place-names of the earliest period, such as Jericho and Beit-Yerach, as well as from Non-Semitic personal and place names of the 2nd millennium BC, the cult of the sun-god and moon-god (or goddess) was at its height in very early times and steadily declined thereafter" (W.F. Albright, Archaeology and the Religion of Israel, p. 92, also p. 83)."
"Röth (Die Aegypt. und die Zoroastr. Glaubenslehre, 1846, p.175) derives the Hebrew name [Yahweh] from the ancient moon-god Ih or Ioh."

What Is Christian God Name?

Well there are several names Christian God have it includes

1- Adonai.
This was the name of God in OT particullarly use in Complete Jewish Bible. Passages include

"Adonai said to Moshe and El‘azar, the son of Aharon thecohen,  “Take a census of the entire assembly of the people of Isra’el twenty years old and over, by their ancestral clans, all who are subject to military service in Israel." [Number 26:1-2]

"Adonai said to Sh’mu’el, “How much longer are you going to go on grieving for Sha’ul, now that I have rejected him as king over Isra’el? Fill your horn with oil, and set out; I will send you to Yishai the Beit-Lachmi, because I have chosen myself a king from among his sons.” [1 Samuel 16:1]

2- Jehovah
Examples include
Darby Translation/American Standard Version
"And Jehovah said to Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thy horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided me a king among his sons." [1 Samuel 16:1]

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
"And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them." [Exodus 6:3]

3- Yahweh / Yhwh/ Yahveh

This is another name of Christian God. Passages from Bible include
Holman Christian Standard Bible (©2009)
"I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty, but I did not reveal My name Yahweh to them." [Exodus 6:3]

World English Bible
"Yahweh said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from being king over Israel? fill your horn with oil, and go: I will send you to Jesse the Beth-lehemite; for I have provided me a king among his sons." [1 Samuel 16:1]

4- Eloi/ Eli

If Jesus spoke Greek according to Christian then there is possibility that Eloi or Eli are also name of God

“About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"--which means,"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? [Matthew 27:46]
In above translation NIV use "Eloi" where as others use "Eli"

Others name include

5- I AM

6- El Shaddai

7- Emmanuel

Some Christians try to prove that Yhvh is the real name by presenting all names of god it in Hebrew. Let us Look how to write names in Hebrew.

Adonai - אדונים‎

Yhvh - ה '‎

Joehovah - יהוה

Even translators of Bible doesn't know what is the name of God they keep translating it how they want
The New American Standard translators admit the fact that "It is known that for many years YHWH has been transliterated as Yahweh, however no complete certainty attaches to this pronunciation" (Principles of Translation from the "Preface to the New American Standard Bible," 1997 edition)

However, The most serious matter to be noted is that "Adonai" has been dropped by alomost every versions of Bible and many Christian claims that KJV is second to none in English version of Bible which uses Jehovah for God

Yahweh A Pagan Deity

By Brother Kaleef Karim

It is interesting how Non-Muslims always attack the name of Allah (God) saying it is a moon god, even though they don’t have not a shred of proof from Quran or the Hadith. In this article I will only quote Non-Muslims sources to prove that Yahwah, Yhwh, Jenovah, Adonai, Eloi whatever the name Christian God have is a Moon and Pagan God.

(1) Lyon, D, G. Ed. Moore, George Foot, joint ed wrote in this book A book Studies in the History of religions on page 194 “ another theory that has found advocates in the recent years is that YHWH was a MOON GOD”

(2) Ralph Ellis in his book Tempest & Exodus writes “thus the old testaments primaru name for God was probably derived from the MOON GOD of EGYPT”

Here we have 2 Christians who don’t know where the Name of thier GOD derived from.

(3) John H Hayes writes in his book Introduction to the Bible He wrote
“What ever the Orignial name of the name Yahweh may have been, and this may continue to remain Unknown”

(4) James M. Efird in his book The old testament writings page 35 writes
“Exactly what does the name Yahweh means?
Once again there is no absolute answer which can be given, for the origin of the name is lost in the recesses of the past and scholars differ in their assessment of of its meanings”
Dr Reckart a Christian believes and shows evidence that Yah Yahweh Yashua are all pagan. Read his blog there is link there for you to find more info.

(5) Dr G, Reckart says that the name "Yah" came from the Pagan Egyptian Moon God
“This pagan Yah idol was not the original God of the Jews. This Yah idol is not the God of creation. This Yah idol is not the God Abraham believed in and it was counted to him for righteousness. This Yah idol is a Baal god and the sooner we acknowledge this the quicker the Jews can return to the true God and let him heal their sins.”

"Yah" from a certain Dr. G. Reckart. It says the following about this - to me! - obscure god:
"One of the false gods the Jews worshipped was YAH. This pagan idol has its roots in Babylon and Egypt. This is the lunar or moon god. In Babylon the moon god is called Ia or Ya. It has both a female and a male identity. In Egypt the Babylon female Ia or Ya" was changed into a male god and the female god was named "Shua" and made the sky god. When a person then combines these forms into Iashua or Yashua, they have made the moon god, the sky god.
This Babylonian/Egypt deity is also called Baal throughout the Scriptures. Th Jews did worship the moon god when they apostated into idolatry from the true god Ehyeh asher Ehyeh (Elohim/Adonai).
This moon god also has the name of Thoth."

Further more Dr G, Reckart comments on Friedrich
Friedrich Delitzsch proved that the name of the god YA, YA-VE,, YA-U (YHVH YA-HU) existed in Babylon as far back as 2500BC. The confusion arises when scholars attempting to justify the Israelite use of Ya and make this god the God of the Jews, try to make this deity a Jewish one and not one from a foreign and pagan people. This then saves the Jewish Yhvh from being a pagan idol. The fact remains, even if scholars pervert the evidence: there was no Abraham in 2500BC. There was no Israelite people. There was no nation of Israel. Any adoption of the Yagod must then come from prior centuries.

(6) David Icke writes in his LINK
“Yahweh, the Fraud of Israel
The Midian-Egyptian connection to the origin of Yahweh
Yah
Moon-god.
"In its earliest attestations the name Yah refers to the moon as satellite of the earth. Yah then becomes conceptualised as a lunar deity, iconographically anthropomorphic but whose manifestations, from the hieroglyphic evidence, can include the crescent of the new moon, the ibis and the falcon- comparable to the other moon deities, Thoth and Khonsu.”

Yahweh had a WIFE

(7) In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshiped both Yahweh and Asherah.

(8) George Hart, "A Dictionary of Egyptian Gods and Goddesses", Mentions that YAH is a MOON GOD of the EGYPTIANS.

(9) William G. Dever
Yahweh had a consort Asherah some even go to say that Asherah was Yahweh;s wife

In fact, the Israelites were still very much polytheistic here, and they still adored Asherah as the Mother of Heaven, or the consort of El, El Elyon, or Yahweh. It wasn't until around 600 BCE did we have Monotheism start taking root by strict Yahwists and reformists, and where Ahserah was seemingly edited out of the bible as Yahweh's consort. It is here where Yahwism became monotheistic and considered all other GODs as false idols to which included Asherah.

(10) Professor Bill Dever, discusses archaeological evidence for Asherah as the consort of Yahweh:
Asherah was, of course, finally driven underground by the reformist parties that :edited the Hebrew Bible. In its final form she is written out of the text. Hence, she :disappeared and all her cult imagery with her when Jewish monotheism at last :triumphed in the period after the Israelites returned from the Babylonian exile. :But Asherah was once alive and well; modern archaeology has in fact resurrected :her. Her "houses," now vacant, were once occupied. Here she was "at home" for :many of the masses in ancient Israel.

We can also reference The Early History of God Yahweh and the Other Deities in Ancient Israel, by Mark S. Smith in where he explains the history of Asherah as well as how the name Asherah eventually morphed into a generic term essentially meaning “post,” or “idol” that was to be worshiped toward a specific god.

(11) The Oxford Companion to World Mythology states
It seems almost certain that the God of the Jews evolved gradually from the Canaanite El, who was in all likelihood the 'God of Abraham'... If El was the high god of Abraham - Elohim, the prototype of Yahweh - Asherah was his wife, and there are archeological indications that she was perceived as such before she was in effect 'divorced' in the context of emerging Judaism of the 7th century BCE.(See 2 Kings 23:15)".

(12) French epigrapher André Lemaire in his article “Who or What was Yahweh’s Asherah?,” published in the Nov.-Dec. 1984 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, an inscription found at Kuntillet ‘Ajrud (dated between 850 and 750 BCE) states the following:

I bless you through Yahweh of Samaria, and through his Asherah! Another inscription, found at ‘El Qom, from the same time period, reads: Uriyahu, the king, has written this. Blessed be Uriyahu through Yahweh, and his enemies have been conquered through Yahweh’s Asherah. Asherah is the name of the Canaanite mother-goddess whose worship is expressly forbidden in such Biblical passages as Deuteronomy 16:21 (consistently rendered "grove" in the King James Version). Clearly, Yahweh’s name was misappropriated and corrupted by heathen worshippers.

(13) Roger Hathaway sacred name of God or blasphemy?
There is evidence that Yahweh had been the Edomite's lord as far back as 1,400 BC. The oldest known appearance of the name YHWH outside the Holy Land was in Egypt about 1,400 BC where it is found on lists with five other sacred names. A Rameses II (1304-1237) list has it 6 times. In an Amon temple of AmenhotepIII (1417-1379 BC) the name is associated with Seir (Edom).

(14) Norman Walker says the Egyptian origin for the Tetra Grammaton saying that the first half ogf the divine name YAH, comes from the Egyptian I-H “MOON” GOD and the second part of WEH comes from the Egyptian ipithet “one” (cf. Ikhnaten’s naming of the SUN DISC “the GOD-ONE 16.

(15) "Röth (Die Aegypt. und die Zoroastr. Glaubenslehre, 1846, page 175) derives the Hebrew name [Yahweh] from the ancient moon-god Ih or Ioh."
