Misquoted Verse Of Quran 9:29

'Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, [even if they are] of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." [Quran 9:29]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some people have falsely concluded from verse 9:29, that Muslims are commanded to attack all non-Muslims until they pay money. In fact, such an interpretation is completely false and contradicts authentic Islamic teachings. Commenting on this verse, Shaykh Jalal Abualrub writes:
These Ayat (Quranic verses) stress the necessity of fighting against the People of the Scripture, but under what conditions? We previously established the fact that the Islamic State is not permitted to attack non-Muslims who are not hostile to Islam, who do not oppress Muslims, or try to convert Muslims by force from their religion, or expel them from their lands, or wage war against them, or prepare for attacks against them. If any of these offenses occurs, however, Muslims are permitted to defend themselves and protect their religion. Muslims are not permitted to attack non-Muslims who signed peace pacts with them, or non-Muslims who live under the protection of the Islamic State. (Abualrub, Holy Wars, Crusades, Jihad)
Shaykh Sayyid Sabiq writes about the Historical context of verse:
As for fighting the Jews (People of the Scripture), they had conducted a peace pact with the Messenger after he migrated to Madinah. Soon afterwards, they betrayed the peace pact and joined forces with the pagans and the hypocrites against Muslims. They also fought against Muslims during the Battle of A`hzab , then Allah revealed…[and he cites verse 9:29] (Sayyid Sabiq, Fiqhu as-Sunnah, Vol. 3, p. 80)
In light of the historical context of this verse, it becomes very clear that the verse was revealed in connection with agression initiated against Muslims. As Dr. Jamal Badawi very accurately concludes with regard to verse 9:29 and similar verses:
All of these verses, without exception, if studied carefully, address aggression and oppression committed against Muslims at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whether by idolatrous Arabs, some of the Jewish tribes in Madinah, or by some Christians.

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 4:95

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan [Quran 4:95]
----------------------------------------------------

Dr. Maher Hathout comments on verse 4:76 by saying:
This verse is related to the two preceding verses (see 4:74-75) where it was stated that those who fight for God's cause would be rewarded whether they are victorious or slain. Fighting for God's cause includes the liberation of the oppressed, meaning the helpless men and women who are yearning and praying for freedom. The believers fight for God's cause, and the disbelievers fight for the sake of their idols. An idol may be taken conceptually. For example, evil or greed may figuratively be construed as idols. The believers should put all their trust in God the Almighty and Powerful and fear not the disbelievers and their evil plans. Evil plans are always inferior to goodness.(Hathout, Jihad vs. Terrorism; US Multimedia Vera International, 2002, p.50)

"Fight in God's Cause, and know that God hears and knows all." [Quran 2:244]
------------------------------------------------------------

This verse tells Muslims to fight in God's for good that is against oppresssion whether it is for Non-Muslims. Moreover, Verse 2:244 is informing the believers not to transgress limits because they should know that "God hears and knows all". So a true Muslim is God-conscious when defending the rights of others and does not overstep his limits in applying justice.
It is even more clearer from verse 2:190 that Muslims are commanded to fight only in self defense against those who are fighting Muslims
"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors" [Quran 2:190]

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 9:5

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 9:5

Like us on facebook:

"..Kill the disbelievers wherever you find them..." [Quran 9:5]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This verse, is been misquoted in a manner similar to other verses to prove terrorism in Islam and to make people hate it. It is also historically out of context.

The full context is:
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah. and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge. How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]. " [Quran 9:5-7]

The verse once again refers to those pagans who would continue to fight after the period of peace. It clearly commands the Muslims to protect those who seek peace and are non-combatants. It is a specific verse with a specific ruling and can in no way be applied to general situations. The command of the verse was only to be applied in the event of a battle. As Abdullah Yusuf Ali writes:
The emphasis is on the first clause: it is only when the four months of grace are past, andthe other party show no sign of desisting from their treacherous design by right conduct, that the state of war supervenes - between Faith and Unfaith. (Yusuf Ali, The Holy Qur’an, Text, Translation and Commentary, emphasis added)
Dr. Maher Hathout gives an explanation on the historical context of the verse:
This verse was revealed towards the end of the revelation period and relates to a limited context. Hostilities were frozen for a three-month period during which the Arabs pledged not to wage war. Prophet Muhammad was inspired to use this period to encourage the combatants to join the Muslim ranks or, if they chose, to leave the area that was under Muslims rule; however, if they were to resume hostilities, then the Muslims would fight back until victorious. One is inspired to note that even in this context of war, the verse concludes by emphasizing the divine attributes of mercy and forgiveness. To minimize hostilities, the Qur'an ordered Muslims to grant asylum to anyone, even an enemy, who sought refuge. Asylum would be granted according to the customs of chivalry; the person would be told the message of the Qur'an but not coerced into accepting that message. Thereafter, he or she would be escorted to safety regardless of his or her religion. (9:6). (Hathout, Jihad vs. Terrorism; US Multimedia Vera International, 2002, pp.52-53, emphasis added)
Ibn al-`Arabi, in his commentary on the Qur’an, writes:
“It is clear from this that the meaning of this verse is to kill the pagans who are waging war against you.” (Ahkam al-Qur’an: 2/456, emphasis added)
The verse 13 of the same chapter makes it clear that it is a self defensive verse revealed by Allah
“Will you not fight people who broke their covenants and plotted to expel the Messenger and attacked you first?” [Sûrah al-Tawbah: 13]

What Is Jihad?

What Is Jihad?

Like us on facebook:

What Is Jihad?

Jihad is an Arabic word which have make its way in English Dictionaries.
Commonly people beleive that Jihad means a holy war against Non-Muslims as translated my many dictionaries to mislead people. However, the Arabic word Jihad is derived from the verb Jahada - meaningto strive or struggle. In Islamic terminology it means to make an effort, to endeavour and to strive for a noble cause. The word is generally used to describe any type of striving for good in the cause of Allah (God). Jihad means struggling in the name of Allah Almighty.  Jihad doesn't always mean a war or battle. Any mean for spreading Islam and the Truth, or to fight for what is right and condemn what is wrong (such as fighting the bad and helping the oppressed even if they were not Muslims) are considered Jihad.
Jihad is an arabic word derived from Jihada meaning "to strive hard" or "to push forward" or "to struggle" namely, in a good cause and against evil.

The one who do Jihad is called Jihadists or Mujahid Muhammad Asad writes about this verse:
The term mujahid is derived from the verb jahada, which means "he struggled" or "strove hard" or "exerted himself", namely, in a good cause and against evil. Consequently, jihad denotes "striving in the cause of God" in the widest sense of this expression: that is to say, it applies not merely to physical warfare (qital) but to any righteous struggle in the moral sense as well (Asad, The Message of the Qur’an)
Jihad doesn't or in no senses can mean a Holy War as there ranks and types of Jihad i.e. spiritual, physical, etc. In Modern Standard Arabic, jihad is one of the correct terms for a struggle for any cause, violent or not, religious or secular. For instance, Mahatma Gandhi's satyagraha struggle for Indian independence is called a "Jihad"

The term 'Jihad' has accrued both violent and non-violent meanings. It can simply mean striving to live a moral and virtuous life, spreading and defending Islam as well as fighting injustice and oppression, among other things. The relative importance of these two forms of jihad is a matter of controversy. A poll by Gallup showed that a "significant majority" of Muslim Indonesians define the term to mean "sacrificing one's life for the sake of Islam/God/a just cause" or "fighting against the opponents of Islam". In Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, and Morocco, the majority used the term to mean "duty toward God", a "divine duty", or a "worship of God", with no militaristic connotations. Other responses referenced, in descending order of prevalence:
-"A commitment to hard work" and "achieving one's goals in life"
-"Struggling to achieve a noble cause"
-"Promoting peace, harmony or cooperation, and assisting others"
-"Living the principles of Islam"

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 2:216

"Jihad ['Qital'] (holy war in the cause of God) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But God knows, and you know not." [Quran 2:216]
--------------------------------------------------------
The first mistake in this translation is that this Quranic verse actually does not use the word “Jihad”. This verse actually uses the word “Qital”, which refers to physical combat in war. Combat is ordained for Muslims in order to defend themselves and their rights, as well as the rights of others. The obligation to physically defend one’s rights, and to establish justice was elaborated on in the previously mentioned article on Jihad. It is sufficient to quote a verse from the Quran in this regard:

"And what is wrong with you that you do not engage in combat for the sake of  Allah, and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help." [Quran 4:75]

It is most certainly a duty of all human beings to help each other from oppression and injustice. This is what Islam teaches. Commenting on verse 2:216, Abdullah Yusuf Ali writes:
To fight (combat) in the cause of Truth is one of the highest forms of charity. What can you offer that is more precious than your own life? But here again the limitations come in. If you are a mere brawler, or a selfish aggressive person, or a vainglorious bully, you deserve the highest censure. (Yusuf Ali, The Holy Qur'an, Text, Translation and Commentary )

Abdul Majid Daryabadi writes on the verse 2:216:
War, it has been truly said, is sanctioned by the law of nature – the constitution of man and the constitution of society – and is at times a biological and sociological necessity. Islam, the ideal and practical religion has allowed it, but only in cases of sheer necessity. (Daryabadi,The Glorious Qur’an, emphasis added)

When and why were Muslims commanded to fight, When was the verse revealed?
Following verses might be revealed when Muslims were getting abused, killed and oppressed by Pagans. Yusuf Ali comments on the next verse that is 2:217
"The intolerance and persecution of the Pagan clique at Mecca caused untold hardships to the holy Messenger of Islam and his early disciples. They bore all with meekness and long-suffering patience until the holy one permitted them to take up arms in self-defence… (Yusuf Ali, The Holy Qur'an, Text, Translation and Commentary) "

In light of the above quote, it becomes apparent that fighting has been especially ordained in conditions of severe persecution and hardship. Consequently, the Muslims are required to defend themselves from oppression and establish justice. To abstain from helping those under oppression is cowardice

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 4:89

"But if they turn away, catch them and slaughter them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks." [Quran 4:89]
-----------------------------------------------------------

Like many verses theis verse is also taken out of context.Below is the full passage
"Why should ye be divided into two parties about the Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way. They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): so take not friends from their ranks until they forsake the domain of evil in the way of God (from what is forbidden). But if they revert to [open] enmityseize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks. Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (Of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If God had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then God hath opened no way for you (to war against them). Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto; if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them; in their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them" [Quran 4:88-91]

These verses were revealed by God to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), at the time when Muslims were attacked by the non-Muslims of Makkah on a regular basis. They were frightening the Muslim community of Madinah. One may say using the contemporary jargon that there were constant terrorist attacks on Madinah and in this situation Muslims were given permission to fight back the “terrorist”. These verses are not a permission for “terrorism” but they are a warning against the “terrorists.” But even in these warnings you can see how much restraint and care is emphasized.

It is also important to note that the Qur'an clearly condemns murder. The Qur’an says about the prohibition of murder,
[Quran 6:151]
"Take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus does He command you, that ye may learn wisdom. 17:33 Nor take life, which God has made sacred, except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, We have given his heir authority (to demand Qisas(retribution) or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the law) 5:32...if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people"

So the Qur'an makes it very clear that Muslims cannot initiate an attack against others, unless there is an immediate threat of being attacked. The context of the quoted verses applies only to situations where the oppressors are killing Muslims. In this case, they have a right to defend themselves and others, especially the weak and oppressed.

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 2:191

"And slay them wherever ye catch them.." [Quran Surah Baqrah 2:191]
--------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the most populat verse which Non-Muslims like to quote based on thier little and crictical understanding. This is the classic example of pulling out the verse from the context. Everything becomes so much easier for the Anti-Islamists when they remove the context. The solution for the Muslim is to simply replace the verse in its context:
"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And kill them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there;but if they fight you, kill them. Such is the reward of those who reject faith. But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear (the punishment of) God, and know thatGod is with those who restrain themselves." [Quran 2:190-194]

How many times do we see the above verse repeating the message to make it clear? These verse were revealed at a time when Muslims of Madinah were under constant attack from the Makkans. An example would be when the Makkans conducted the public crucifixion of the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Khubaib bin Adi. These would be classified as 'terrorist activities' according to the modern usage of the term. So what does this verse say in this context? "Fight in the cause of God those who fight you", "unless they (first) fight you there" - the context of this verse applies to those who initiate the attack against Muslims. And even after they attack, the verse makes it clear: "But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." And it also makes clear the purpose for what Muslims fight: "fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God". It is the duty of Muslims to defend humanity from oppression and persecution and to establish justice. Muslims believe that God has placed us here on earth as his deputy or viceroy, and thus, it is our duty to enjoin the good and forbid the evil, to establish peace and justice in the land.

"The Qur’an clearly prohibits aggression. The verses explain that fighting is only for self-defence.Thus, a Muslim cannot commit aggression and kill innocent men, women, children, the sick, the elderly, monks, priests, or those who do not wish to fight. A Muslim is also mandated not to destroy plant life of livestock. ( Dr. Maher Hathout, Jihad vs. Terrorism; US Multimedia Vera International, 2002, p.49, emphasis added)

Abdullah Yusuf Ali writes about verse 2:190:
War is only permissible in self-defence, and under well-defined limits. When undertaken, it must be pushed with vigour, but not relentlessly, but only to restore peace and freedom for the worship of God. In any case strict limits must not be transgressed: women, children, old and infirm men should not be molested, nor trees and crops cut down, nor peace withheld when the enemy comes to terms. (Yusuf Ali, The Holy Qur’an, Text, Translation and Commentary )

Misquoted Verse Of Quran 8:12

Verse 8:12
"[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The verse is taken out of context both historical context and the context of the verse itself in the Qur'an. Let us first examine the full verse:
"[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip. That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger - indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." [Anfal 8:12-13]

That is the context of the verse in the Qur'an. The historical context is that this verse was revealed at the Battle of Badr, a battle in which the pagans of Makkah traveled over 200 miles to destroy the Muslims of Madinah. The Pagans of Makkah had an army of about 1000 while the Muslims were only 300 followers. The Prophet Muhammad ((peace be upon him)) and his followers had suffered severe persecutions and torture for 13 years in the city of Makkah. Having fled from Makkah to the safety of Madinah, they found that they were once again threatened by Makkans and have to defend themselve. It is clear from the below verse that the Makkans were fighting against Allah, His Messenger and Islam
"There has already been for you a Sign in the two armies that met (in combat): One was fighting in the cause of Allah, the other resisting Allah; these saw with their own eyes Twice their number. But Allah doth support with His aid whom He pleaseth. In this is a warning for such as have eyes to see." [Qur'an: Al-i-Imran 3:13]

The Makkans were not satisfied with expelling the Muslims from Makkah and subsequently desired that they be purged from the surroundings of all major trade routes. So God supported the Muslims and informed them that God would allow justice to prevail over oppression. He informed them that they should not fear fighting in God's path, but it is the enemies who should fear God's retribution for their oppression and injustice. Also, God inspired the ANGELS to support the believers and strike the disbelievers. This was NOT a command for the Muslims.

Allah helped Muslim at Battle of Badr by sending angels. The Quran confirms this in
"(Remember) when you sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): "I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other (following one another) in succession." [Anfal 8:9]

Ar-Rabi bin Anas said: “On the day of Badr people could see those who had been slain by the angels among the dead by the blows above the necks and on their fingertips which looked as if fire had burnt them.” [Bayhaqi]

Passages From Bible Denying Its Authenticity

Christians claims that Bible is a word of God with no error or contradiction. However, there are some passages in Bible which aren't from God but rather from man as the context says

1 Corinthians 7:12
"But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away."
The Apostle Paul clearly says here in the first sentence "speak I, NOT the Lord". He is saying that these words he is about to say are from him and not God! It’s in plain language. This alone technically invalidates the fundamentalist doctrine that every word in the Bible is by God. It alone shatters this absolute claim of theirs. There is no defense. However, there are two more similar verses I like it to shatter the doctrine even further beyond what’s necessary. Later on in the same chapter, Paul says:

1 Corinthians 7:25
"Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful."
You see here how Paul is saying that he is using his best personal judgment, and that what he's saying is not directly from God?
He is telling you that he is writing his own opinion. Then, in Paul’s next letter to the Corinthians, he says:

2 Corinthians 11:17
"That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting."
Again, the same claim by Paul.

Christian apologists, when countered with these verses, usually respond by claiming either that
1) Paul was adding to Jesus' commands, or
2) Paul was being inspired without himself knowing it.
Now those are very bizarre explanations indeed, which don’t even address this issue. Either way, even if those two explanations are true, they still shatter the doctrine of Biblical infallibility. And furthermore, in regards to the second explanation, why would God "inspire" Paul to say that his words were not from God?

2 Corinthians 11:17
"In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool."
Romans 2:16
"In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

Angel Standing On Sun?
A Part Of Fairy Tales In Bible

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [Revelations 19:17]

How interesting, an angel standing in the sun crying in loud voice. Not more then a good bed time story from Bible

The Beast Story
A Part of Fairy Tales In Bible
How can a book of God have fairy tales in it?

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. [Revelations 13:1-5]

Here we see that a beast arose from the sea having seven heads and horns with crowns. The beast was like a leapord, having feet and mouth like bear and lion.
John must be dreaming while writing this.

War In Heaven?
Bible fairy tales Wars In Heaven

From The Bible
"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." [Revelations 12:1-9]

Is the book of God, or is this some magical book? Quite a lot of interesting points to note, for one, we see a lady who is clothed with the sun, and she has the moon under her feet! How interesting.
It even gets more interesting when we read that there was a war in heaven! A civil war you could say, the angels gone bad versus the angels who still keep their loyalty with God, the bad angels were lead by satan and the dragon. While the good angels were lead by the angel Michael. What an amusing little story wouldn’t you say?
Note also, this dragon has seven heads, and ten horns, how interesting. However so, there is one slight problem with this. For one, how did the dragon enter heaven? This raises the question, where is heaven? If the dragon managed to fly around and enter heaven, then this would mean heaven is a physical presence, not some spiritual world. However so, Christians believe heaven is a spiritual place, not a physical area. So therefore, how was a dragon flying around in a spiritual world?

Is There Or Is There Not Compulsion In Religion?

Is There Or Is There Not Compulsion In Religion?

Bismillah Hir Rehman Ir Raheem
Start In the Name Of Allah The Most Beneficent The Most Merciful

Like us on facebook:

Is there or is there not compulsion in religion?
  1. "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things," (2:256).
  2. "And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith," (9:3).
  3. "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); butif they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful," (9:5).
  4. Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued," (9:29).

My Response:

The first verse is talking about establishing peace on earth and accepting the beliefs of Non-Muslim and there shall be no compulsion in religion.

The other verses that is 9:3 and 9:5 talks about the people who break their with Muslims and wage wars against them. The context tells us the whole story. The start of the chapter deals with telling about the people who break their treaties and fight against Muslims.
"And a declaration from Allah and His Messenger to mankind on the greatest day (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah - the 12th month of Islamic calendar) that Allah is free from (all) obligations to the Mushrikun (see V.2:105) and so is His Messenger. So if you (Mushrikun) repent, it is better for you, but if you turn away, then know that you cannot escape (from the Punishment of) Allah. And give tidings (O Muhammad SAW) of a painful torment to those who disbelieve. Except those of the Mushrikun with whom you have a treaty, and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor have supported anyone against you. So fulfill their treaty to them to the end of their term. Surely Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]. " [9:3-4]
Quoting forward from verse 9:5 it says
"And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Quran), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not. How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]." [9:6-7]

Moreover the chapter begin as
"[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists. So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months but know that you cannot cause failure to Allah and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers." [9:1-2]

Well coming to the last verse which is 9:29. This verse tells us to fight those people who fight us even if they are people of the Scripture.
Muslims are commanded to guard their rights and to fight those who fight against them
"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors." [2:190]
Well what does Quran says about fighting?
"Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you" [2:216]

Oneness Of Allah
A Part Of Articles Of Faith In Islam

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him." [Quran 112]

The idea of God in Islam is very clear. Islam is pure monotheist religion based on conecpt of One God that is Allah. The word Allah is the term with no plural or gender used by Muslims. This first article of faith in Islam is based on the supermacy of Allah with no partners. God has no father nor mother, no sons nor daughters. He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered. None equal to Him. He is God of all mankind, not of a special tribe or race.

God is High and Supreme but He is very near to the pious thoughtful believers; He answers their prayers and helps them. He loves the people who love Him and forgives their sins. He gives them peace, happiness, knowledge and success. God is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. God's attributes are mentioned in the Quran.

Allah is The Compassionate and The Most Merciful. His Mercy extends to all mankind. He is more closer to us than our jugular vains
"It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than his jugular vein." [Qur'an 50:16]
"To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing." [Qur'an 2:115]

"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels--a plentiful harvest of new lives." [John 12:24]

This verse is scientifically false.  The dead seed does not produce new seeds.

Does Gold Rust?
The Bible claims that gold and silver do rust.

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
Your gold and silver is rusted; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.

American Standard Version
Your gold and your silver are rusted; and their rust shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have laid up your treasure in the last days.

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

However, I agree to the extent that silver may rust rust but for gold it is not that possible. According to modern science gold doesn't rust.
Wiki answers says
Gold can not rust. Rust is oxidation, and gold is inert to oxygen and even most acids.
Gold is not the only metal that does not rust. Copper is another metal that doesn't rust, and so is platinum and nickel.
Thus, Gold doesn't rust.

How Many Legs Insects Have?

Bible says insects have four legs
"All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper." [Leviticus 11:22]

No insect with four legs exists.  Insects have six legs and six feet.
Wiki Answer says
All insects (Class Insecta) have 6 legs arranged in 3 pairs of 2 or 3 legs each side of the body; these extend from the thorax or central segment of the body.
Thus Bible here again failed to tell us how many legs insects have. Well what else can you expect from a false book!

Jesus And His False Prophecies
8 FalseProphecies

1- "I assure you: There are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom." [Matthew 16:28]
Jesus mistakenly tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom within their lifetime.

2- "I tell you the truth, this judgment will fall on this very generation." [Matthew 23:36]
Jesus predicts the end of the world within the lifetime of his listeners

3- Jesus says the gospel will be preached to all nations "And then shall the end come."
"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." [Matthew 24:14]
Well according to Paul the gospel has been preached to everyone in Romans 10:18 yet the end hasn't come
"But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message? Yes, they have: "The message has gone throughout the earth, and the words to all the world." [New Living Translation (©2007)]

4- Jesus falsely prophesies that the high priest would see his second coming
"Jesus replied, "You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God's right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven." [Matthew 26:64]

5- Jesus claims that his suffering and death were a fulfillment of prophecy. But there is no such prophecy in the Old Testament.
"He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." [Luke 24:44]

6- Jesus falsely prophesied that Nathaniel would see heaven open and angels descend upon Jesus. Nathaniel never saw it; neither has anyone else.
" He then added, "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." [John 1:51]

7- Jesus claims that Moses wrote about him. Where? It's a shame he didn't give us chapter and verse.
"If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me." [John 5:46]

8- Jesus implies that he will return to earth during the lifetime of John
Jesus told him, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you? You must keep following me!" [John 21:22]

Holman Christian Standard Bible (©2009)
"Then he went and settled in a town called Nazareth to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets, that He will be called a Nazarene."
International Standard Version (©2012)
"And settled in a town called Nazareth in order to fulfill what was said by the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene."
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
"And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene."

Matthew claims this was a fulfillment of prophecy, yet such a prophecy is not found anywhere in the Old Testament. So where in OT was such prophesy written by any Prophet?

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. [Daniel 8:27]

Daniel is saying that he had a vision but none understood it so if Daniel couldn't understand his visions, then how could anyone else?
I guess this is the one true prophecy in the book of Daniel: "None understood it."

The Lying And Sinful Prophets

How does the Bible displays Prophets?

"Then the LORD said, "These prophets are telling lies in my name. I did not send them or tell them to speak. I did not give them any messages. They prophesy of visions and revelations they have never seen or heard. They speak foolishness made up in their own lying hearts. Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine." [Jeremiah 14:14-15]

"The prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes?" [Jeremiah 5:31]

"Even the priests and prophets are ungodly, wicked men. I have seen their despicable acts right here in my own Temple," says the LORD. "Therefore, the paths they take will become slippery. They will be chased through the dark, and there they will fall. For I will bring disaster upon them at the time fixed for their punishment. I, the LORD, have spoken! "I saw that the prophets of Samaria were terribly evil, for they prophesied in the name of Baal and led my people of Israel into sin. But now I see that the prophets of Jerusalem are even worse! They commit adultery and love dishonesty. They encourage those who are doing evil so that no one turns away from their sins. These prophets are as wicked as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah once were." [Jeremiah 23:11-14]

"Jerusalem's gates have sunk into the ground. He has smashed their locks and bars. Her kings and princes have been exiled to distant lands; her law has ceased to exist. Her prophets receive no more visions from the LORD." [Lamentations 2:9]

"Your prophets have said so many foolish things, false to the core. They did not save you from exile by pointing out your sins. Instead, they painted false pictures, filling you with false hope." [Lamentations 2:14]

"And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet. I will lift my fist against such prophets and cut them off from the community of Israel." [Ezekiel 14:9]

"'How will you do this?' the LORD asked. "And the spirit replied, 'I will go out and inspire all of Ahab's prophets to speak lies.' "'You will succeed,' said the LORD. 'Go ahead and do it." [1 Kings 22:22]
