Further Contradiction In Bible (OT)

1- On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness. [Genesis 1:3-5]
The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day. [Genesis 1:14-19]

2- God was already known as the Lord (Jahveh or Jehovah) much earlier than the time of Moses. [Genesis 2:4, 4:26, 12:8, 22:14-16, 26:25]
God was first known as the Lord (Jahveh or Jehovah) at the time of the Egyptian Bondage, during the life of Moses. [Exodus 6:2-3]

3- God promised the land to the people. [Exodus 12:25]
God broke his promise. [Numbers 14:30-31]

4- It is wrong to want to be able to tell good from evil. [Genesis 2:15-17, 3:4-6]
It is immature to be unable to tell good from evil. [Hebrews 5:13-14]

5- God asks Cain where his brother Able is. [Genesis 4:9]
God is everywhere. He sees everything. Nothing is hidden from his view. [Jeremiah 16:17, 23:24-25, Hebrews 4:13]

6- The Spirit of God is (sometimes) murder and killing. [Leviticus 26:7-8; Numbers 31:17-18, Joshua 10:40; Judges 14:19; Ezikel 9:5-7]
The fruit of the Spirit of God is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, Genesistleness and self-control. [Galatians 5:22-23]

7- Cain went away (or out) from the presence of the Lord. [Genesis 4:16]
A man cannot hide from God. God fills heaven and earth. [Jeremiah 23:23-24]

8- There were Nephilim (giants) before the Flood. [Genesis 6:4]
There were Nephilim after the Flood. [Numbers 13:33]

9- God does change his mind. [Genesis 6:6; Exodus 32:14; Numbers 14:20; Isaiah 15:35; 2 Samuel 24:16]
God does not change his mind. [Numbers 23:19-20; Isaiah 15:29; James 1:17]

10- Noah was righteous. [Genesis 7:1]
Job was righteous. [Job 1:1-8; Job 2:3]
Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous. [Luk 1:6]
Some men are righteous, (which makes their prayers effective). [James 5:16]
Christians become righteous (or else they are not really Christians). [1 John 3:6-9]
No one was or is righteous. [Romans 3:10, 3:23, 1John 1:8-10]

11- Noah and his clan enter the Ark. [Genesis 7:7]
They enter the Ark (again?). [Genesis 7:13]

12- God sows discord. [Genesis 11:7-9]
God hates anyone who sows discord. [Provers 6:16-19]

13- At Babel, the Lord confused the language of the whole world. [Genesis 11:9]
Paul says that God is not the author of confusion. [1 Corinthians 14:33]

14- There were many languages before the tower at Babel. [Genesis 10:5, 20, 31]
There was only one language before the tower at Babel. [Genesis 11:1]

15- Abraham married his half-sister and was blessed. [Genesis 11:29; Genesis 17:15-16; Genesis 20:11-12]
Incest is wrong. [Leviticus 18:9; Leviticus 20:17]

16- Abraham made a covenant with Abimelech and Phichol. [Genesis 21:22, 27, 32]
It was Isaac who made the covenant with Abimelech and Phichol. [Genesis 26:26-28]

17- Jacob's name was changed at Peniel. [Genesis 32:28-30]
Jacob's name was changed at Padanaram. [Genesis 35:9-10]

18- Isaac's servants dug a well at Beer-shebah. [Genesis 26:32-33]
Abraham dug a well at Beer-shebah. [Genesis 21:29-31]

19- Esau married two Hittite women. [Genesis 26:34]
Esau married three Canaanite women. [Genesis.36:2-3]

19- Bashemath was a daughter of Elon the Hittite. [Genesis 26:34]
Bashemath was a daughter of Ishmael. [Genesis 36:3]

20- Luz was renamed Beth-el. [Genesis 28:19]
Luz was a different place than Beth-el. [Josh 16:2]

21- God renamed Jacob and called him Israel. [Genesis 35:10]
God forgot the new name. [Genesis 46:2]

21- Asa removes the high places [2 Chronicles 14:2]
Asa did not remove the high places [1 Kings 15:11-14]

22- Uzzah dies at the threshing-floor of Nacon [ 2 Samuel 6:6]
Uzzah dies at the threshing-floor of Chidon [1 Chronicles 13:9]

23- Moses married a Midianite [Exodus 3:1]
Moses married an Ethiopian [Numbers 12:1]

24- Man is to be holy [Leviticus 11:44, 19:2, 20:7]
Only God is holy [Revelation 15:4]

25- All the plant life was destroyed by hail. [Exodus9:25]
All the plant life was destroyed by locusts. [Exodus 10:15]

26- Jethro was the name of Moses' father-in-law. [Exodus 3:1]
Ruel was the name of Moses' father-in-law. [Exodus 2:18]
Raguel was the name of Moses' father-in-law. [Numbers 10:29]
Hobab was the name of Moses' father-in-law. [Jude 4:11]

27- The priests were with Moses at Mount Sinai. [Exodus 19:22-24]
Moses appointed the first priests later in the wilderness. [Exodus 28:1]

28- Moses was great. [Exodus 11:3]
Moses was meek. [Numbers 12:3]

29- Moses was the only allowed near God. [Exodus 24:2]
Moses was not the only one allowed. [Exodus24:9-11]

30- Moses condemned the making of an idol. [Exodus 32:19-20]
Moses made an idol. [Numbers 21:9; 2 Kings 18:4]

31- Jacob was buried in a cave at Machpelah bought from Ephron the Hittite. [Genesis 50:13]
He was buried in the sepulchre at Shechem, bought from the sons of Hamor. [Acts 7:15-16]

31- The commandments were memorably given at the beginning of the wilderness trek. [Exodus 19 and 20]
The people appeared not to remember later in the wilderness. [Leviticus 24:12; Numbers 15:34]

32- Moses told the people they would pass over the Jordan that day. [Deuteronomy 9:1]
It was Joshua who took them over much later. [Josh 1:1-2]

33- Baasha dies and his son Ela begins his reign over Israel - this was in the 26th year of king Asa of Judah [1 Kings 16:6-8]
In the 36th year of Asa's reign, Baasha attacks Judah - [2 Chronicles 16:1]
Note: 2 Chron says Baasha still fighting 10 years after 1 Kings says he died!

34- Manna tasted like coriander seed and honey. [Exodus 16:31]
Manna tasted like fresh oil. [Numbers 11:8]

35- God remembers sin even when it has been forgiven. [Exodus 34:7]
God does not remember sin after it has been forgiven. [Jeremiah 31:34]

36- The Book of Jasher was written at the time of Joshua. [Josh 10:13]
The Book of Jasher was written at the time of David. [2 Samuel 1:17-18]

37- The Israelites were a Numberserous and mighty people. [Exodus 1:8-9]
The Israelites were few in Numbersber. [Deuteronomy 7:7]

38- Sisera was sleeping when Jael killed him. [Judges 4:21]
Sisera was standing and apparently, allowed Jael to kill him. [Judges 5:25-27]

39- The Israelites had plenty of water to wash their clothes for purification. [Exodus 19:10]
The Israelites had no water and rioted for a drink. [Exodus 15:22-24]

40- God was with the people. [Exodus 3:12]
God was not with the people. [Exodus 33:3]

41- Aaron died on Mt. Hor. [Numbers.20:27-28; 33:38-39]
Aaron died at Mosera. [Deuteronomy 10:6]

42- After Aaron's death, the people journeyed from Mt. Hor to Zalmonah to Punon etc. [Numbers 33:41-42]
After Aaron's death, the people journeyed from Mosera to Gudgodah to Jotbath. [Deuteronomy 10:6-7]

43- The Canaanites were utterly destroyed. [Numbers 21:3]
The Canaanites were left to trouble the Israelites for years. [Judges 3:1-2]

44- Stones were taken out of the Jordan River. [Josh 4:3]
Stones were placed in the Jordan River. [Josh 4:9]

45- The Nazarite vow is broken if one goes near a dead body. [Numbers 6:6-9]
Samuelpson, a Nazarite, apparently did not break this vow. [Judges 13:5; 15:8,15,16; 16:17]

46- Samuel ministered to the "Lord". [1 Samuel.3:1]
Samuel did not know the "Lord". [1 Samuel.3:7]

47- David killed Goliath. [1 Samuel 17:49-50]
Elhanan killed Goliath. [2 Samuel.21:19-21] (Notice that the phrase "the brother of" has been added).

48- No ills befall the righteous [Proverbs 12:21]
How the righteous suffer [Job 12:4-6; Hebrews 11:35-37]

49- Saul utterly destroyed the Amalekites. [1 Samuel.15:20]
David utterly destroyed the Amalekites. [1 Samuel.27:8, 9]
David destroyed the Amalekites - again - almost. [1 Samuel.30:1,17-18]

50- God chose Saul to save the people from the Philistines. [1 Samuel 9:15-17]
Saul dies and the Philistines overrun the Israelites. [1 Samuel 31:6-7]

51- God chose Saul. [1 Samuel 9:16]
God repents for choosing Saul. [1 Samuel 15:35]
God doesn't need to repent. [Numbers 23:19]

52- Saul inquired of God but received no answer. [1 Samuel 28:6]
Saul died for not inquiring. [1 Chronicles 10:13-14]

53- God promises Abraham the land of Canaan to live in [Genesis 17:8]
God did not allow Abraham to live in the promised land - [Acts 7:5, Hebrews 11:8-13]

54- The Hebrews dwelt in Egypt for 430 years [Exodus 12:40]
The Hebrews dwelt in Egypt for 400 years [Acts 7:6]

55- Saul knew David before the encounter with Goliath. [1 Samuel 16:19]
Saul did not know David until after the encounter with Goliath. [1 Samuel.17:55-58]

56- The Hebrews' journeying - Mount Hor (where Aaron dies), Zalmonah, Punon - [Numbers 33:37-42]
The Hebrews' journeying - Beeroth Benejaakan, Moserah (where Aaron dies), Gudgodah, Jotbathah - [Deuteronomy 10:6-7]

59- Children are to suffer for their parent's sins. [Exodus 20:5; Exodus 34:7; Numbers 14:18; Deuteronomy 5:9; Isaiah 14:21]
Children are not to suffer for their parent's sins. [Deuteronomy 24:16; Ezekiel 18:19-20]

60- Death to a false prophet. [Deuteronomy 18:20]
Death also to a real prophet deceived by "God". [Ezekiel 14:9]

61- Asa removed the high places. [2 Chronicles14:2-3]
Asa did not remove the high places. [1 Kings 15:14]

62- Jeremiahhoiachin was succeeded by his uncle. [2 Kings 24:17]
Jeremiahhoiachin was succeeded by his brother. [2 Chronicles 36:10]

63- The father of Zerubbabel was Pedaiah. [1 Chronicles 3:19]
The father of Zerubbabel was Shealtiel. [Ezra 3:2]

64- Ahaz was not conquered. [2 Kings165]
Ahaz was conquered. [2 Chronicles28:5]

65- God stands to judge. [Isaish 3:13]
God sits to judge. [Joel 3:12]

66- Joshua captured Debir. [Josh 10:38-39]
Othniel captured Debir. [Judges 1:11-13]

67- Jeremiahhoshaphat did not remove the high places. [1 Kings 22:42- 43]
Jeremiahhoshaphat did remove the high places. [2 Chronicles 17:5-6]

68- Jeremiahhu shot Ahaziah near Ibleam. Ahaziah then fled to Meggido and died there. [2 Kings 9:27]
Ahaziah was found hiding in Samaria, brought to Jeremiahhu, and was then put to death. [2 Chronicles 22:9]

69- Jeremiahhu's massacre was acceptable to God. [2 Kings10:30]
Jeremiahhu's massacre was not acceptable to God. [Hosrsea 1:4]

70- The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance. Psalms 58:10-11]
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls or stumbles. [Proverbs 24:17]

71- God promised Zedekiah a peaceful death. [Jeremiah 34:4-5]
Instead, Zedekaih's sons are slain before his eyes, his eyes are then put out, he is bound in fetters, taken to Babylon and left in prison to die [Jeremiah 52:10-11]

72-  Do not answer a fool. To do so makes you foolish too. [Proverbs 26:4]
Answer a fool. If you don't, he will think himself wise. [Proverbs 26:5]

73- Joshua himself captured Debir. [Joshua 10:38-40]
It was Othniel, who thereby obtained the hand of Caleb's daughter, Achsah. [Judges 1:11-15]

74- Samuel informs God as to what he has heard from others. [1 Samuel 8:2-22]
God is everywhere. He sees and hears everything. [Proverbs 15:3; Jeremiah 16:17; 23:24-25; Hebrews 4:13]

75-  The Amalekites are utterly destroyed. [Isaiah 15:7-8-20]
They are utterly destroyed (again?). [Isaiah 27:8-9]
They raid Ziklag and David smites them (again?). [Isaiah 30:1; 17-18]
