Contradiction In NT (Part 1)

1- Was John the baptist Elijah or not?
"And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come." [Matthew 11:14]
Contradicted By:
"They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No." [John 1:21]

2- Who was Father of Mary's husband?
"And Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ." [Matthew 1:16]
Contradicted By:
"Joseph was the son of Heli." [Luke 3:23]

3- Who was Father of Salah?
"When Arphaxad had lived 35 years, he became the father of Shelah." [Genesis 11:12]
Contradicted By:
"The son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah, the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech," [Luke 3:35-36]

4- How many generations were there from Abraham to David?
"So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying" [Matthew 1:17]
Contradicted By:
But there were thriteen generations
"Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
And Jesse begat David the king" [Matthew 1:2-6]

5- How many generations were there from Babylonish captivity to Christ?
"And from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations." [Matthew 1:17]
Contradicted By:
But there were thriteen generations
"And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. [Matthew 1:12-16]

6- Was infant Christ taken to Egypt or not?
"When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt... And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene." [Matthew 2:14-23]
Contradicted By:
He wansn't
"And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth"
[Luke 2:23-39]

7- Who approached Jesus?
Centurion approached Jesus for help
"When Jesus was going into the town of Capernaum, an army officer came up to him and said, “Lord, my servant is at home in such terrible pain that he can’t even move. “I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied. [Matthew 8:5-7]
Contradicted By:
He did not approached Jesus. He send friends and elders of Jews
"The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant" [Luke 7:3]
"So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof" [Luke 7:6-7]

8- Where Jesus said his first sermon?
Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them, [Matthew 5:1-2]
Contradicted By:
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; [Luke 6:17]

9- Where Devil took Jesus first?
"Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor." [Matthew 4:5-8]
Contradicted By:
"The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here." [Luke 4:5-9]

10- Have anyone gone to Heaven except Jesus
"No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven." [John 3:13]
Contradicted By:
"As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind." [2 King 2:11]

11- When Jesus first appear to eleven disciples?
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." [Matthew 28:16-18]
Contradicted By:
"They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” [Luke 24:33-34] 

12- Where did Christ ascend from?
“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Matthias Chosen to Replace Judas Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. [Acts 1:11-12]
Contradicted By:
"When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven" [Luke 24:50-51]

13- Jesus took Peter, James and John up the mountain after how many days?
"After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves." [Matthew 17:1]
Contradicted By:
"About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray." [Luke 9:27]

14- Was John in prison or not when Jesus went to Galilee?
"After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God." [Mark 1:14]
Contradicted By:
"John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water there. People were coming and being baptized, for John had not yet been thrown into prison." [John 3:23-24]

15- Which woman Besought Jesus?
"A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession." [Mattew 15:22]
Contradicted By:
"The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter." [Mark 7:26]

16- How many blind man besought Jesus?
"And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:" [Luke 18:35]
Contradicted By:
"Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" [Matthew 20:30]

17- How many theives reviled Jesus?
" One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence?" [Luke 23:39-40]
Contradicted By:
"In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him." [Matthew 27:44]

18- How Judas die?
"So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself." [Matthew 27:5]
Contradicted By:
"With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out." [Acts 1:18]

19- Did Paul's attendants heard the voice or not?
"The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone." [Acts 9:7]
Contradicted By:
"And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me."

20- Did Paul attendants prostated or not?
They stood speechless
"The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone." [Acts 9:7]
Contradicted By:
They fall to ground
"We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads." [Acts 26:14]
