Masturbation is getting common in our society and most of the people feel proud to practice masturbation. Let us See what Bible had to say about this

"Different studies have found that masturbation is frequent in humans. Alfred Kinsey's 1950s studies on US population have shown that 92% of men and 62% of women have masturbated during their lifespan. Similar results have been found in a 2007 British national probability survey. It was found that, between individuals aged 16 to 44, 95% of men and 71% of women masturbated at some point in their lives. 73% of men and 37% of women reported masturbating in the four weeks before their interview, while 53% of men and 18% of women reported masturbating in the previous seven days"

Quoting Verse From Bible Genesis : 38:1-10
"And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her. And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er. And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan. And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him. And Judah said unto Onan, "Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore He SLEW him also"

Onan’s name is often used synonymously with masturbation. In the scripture, Onan was supposed to dutifully sleep with his late brother’s wife to produce an offspring for his brother. However, Onan decided that he did not want to produce an offspring that would not be his, so he ejaculated on the ground.
However, Many Claims The thing Onan do was that he used some type of birth control to prevent him from getting a child. Which I Believe is A wrong Interpretation. Although However , the story is linked to referring to masturbation and condemnation thereof, but the act described by this story is coitus interruptus, not masturbation. Its More About Believe.

2. More over Bible Also says:
Matthew 5:28
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who has looked a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
One of the act that give rise to masturbation is lust and they sometime might be directly connected

3. In fact, an older definition of masturbation is "self-abuse." Although more modern dictionaries may no longer carry this definition, they are still linked together under self-abuse:
Self-abuse noun¹

1. Abuse of oneself or one's abilities.
2. Masturbation.

4. 1 Corinthians 6:18:  Further confirms this, saying that unlawful sexual relations defile our own bodies.
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."

However Today many Christian Scholars claim that Masturbation is only a sin if it is because of your lust where as, they also says that there is no verses in Bible that directly Condemns it.
