“A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.”

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
"The prophet (peace_be_upon_him) cursed the women who imitate men and the men who imitate women. "
And there are some other hadith also forbiding cross-dressing in Islam. Moreover, it is also a sign of Doomsday in Islam

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abdel Wahab, narrated by Hamad, narrated by Hisham, narrated by his father who related that the people would present their gifts (to the prophet) when he was at Aisha’s house. The companions of Um Salamah said, “O Um Salamah! By Allah the people wait to give their gifts till it is Aisha’s day and we desire the good things just as Aisha does. So ask the prophet to command the people to give him his gifts in whatever house of his wives he may be in.” Um Salamah mentioned this to the prophet but would not respond to her. She repeated it a second time but he still would not respond to her, but on the third time he said, “O Um Salama! Do not hurt me with Aisha; for by Allah, the inspiration did not descent on me while I was in the coverings (lihaf) of any of you (women) except Aisha.”
Did Prophet Muhammad really wear Aisha's clothes, or was this a lie by Sam Shamoun?
Here is the original text with some Arabic words:
Al-Bukhari (2393)
narrated that Hisham Ibn Urwah said that, his father said that, Aishah said that Allah’s Prophet, peace be upon him, said to Um Salamah, his wife, “Do not hurt me regarding Aishah, as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me while I am Fee the Thaub of any woman, except that of Aishah.”
Shamoun translated the word "Fee" as wearing. However Fee has many different meanings rather than just "Wearing". I challenged Sam Shamoun to provide evidence that "Fee" can only be translated as "Wearing"
Sam Shamoun, first inserted the words ‘wearing’ in brackets for no reason. Perhaps he thought that Muslims will also swallow this word in brackets as easily as Christians have been adopting interpolations into the Bible.
He translated the word ‘thowb’ as “woman’s clothing” and related it to wearing. You will hardly ever find a liar of this caliber!
None of the narrations for this Hadeeth said that the Prophet was ‘wearing’ his wife’s ‘clothes’, i.e. as one wears a dress or a shirt; no Muslim scholar ever uttered this ludicrous notion or understood from this Hadeeth that the Prophet wore women’s clothing and if proove me
Moreover, he translated the word "Mirt" as as ‘garment’ while in reality it is used for any un-sewn cloth
Its correct literal translation has to be:
"Do not hurt me regarding Aisha, as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me when I am in the [thawb] cloth (i.e. blanket) of any of wives except [in that of] Aisha.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2393)
The word [Thawb] means :
1.An ankle-length robe with long sleeves worn by some Arab men.
2.Blanket
3.Robe
A robe here meant
a.A long, loose outer garment.
c.A thick blanket, esp. used when travelling or as a coverlet
And litterally Thawb here means a Blanket
Secondly for clarifying Shamoun here is another Hadith to support myself:
This becomes further clear from the following narration, also from Sahih Bukhari, in which these last words are rendered as;
“Don't trouble me regarding 'Aisha, for by Allah, the Divine Inspiration never came to me while I was under the blanket of any woman amongst you except her." (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 3491)
Here the actual word is ‘lihaaf’ which literally means ‘blanket’.
There are other various Hadiths which states the same meaning "Prophet was under a Thawb or Lihaf". In general words Thawb or Lihaf refers to "Blanket"

We can clearly conclude that Lihaf and Thawb are used in various narrations in a manner to describe "Blanket"
Regarding the word "Fee". As I told Sam Shamoun translated the word "Fee" as only wearing and particularly wrote it in brackets so that it might distract Muslims.

‘Fee’ has a host of meanings, such as ‘in; under; on; above; inside, within, etc.’ Read the rest of the article for evidence. I should note here, though, that had ‘Fee’ in the Hadeeth Shamoun corrupted meant ‘wearing’, then, the narration of the same Hadeeth by Imam Muslim (4427) would mean that both the Prophet and Aishah were wearing her Thaub. That would be one huge Thaub!
The Narration Of Imam Muslims (4427) is as follows:
Imam Muslim (4427) Collected the same Hadeeth from Aishah, where Aishah said that the Prophet’s wives also sent Fatimah, the Prophet’s daughter, after sending Um Salamah, and she asked for permission to enter “while he (the Prophet) was laying with me Fee my Mirt (i.e., Thaub; Li`haf).” Next, the Prophet’s wives sent Zainab Bint Ja`hsh, the Prophet’s wife, who asked for permission to enter while the Prophet was still with Aishah Fee her Mirt, as he was when Fatimah entered on him.

Another narration used by the liar is from Sahih Muslim. He translates it as; Narrated by Abdal Malik Ibn Shu’aib ibn Laith Ibn Sa’ad, narrated by his father, narrated by his grandfather, narrated by Ukail Ibn Khalid, narrated by Ibn Shihab, narrated by Yahya Ibn Sa’id Ibn Al Aas who narrated that Aisha, the wife of the prophet, and Uthman related to him that Abu Bakr requested permission from the prophet - pbuh- to enter when the prophet was lying down on Aisha’s bed WEARING HER GARMENT (Mirt). So the prophet gave permission to Abu Bakr to enter while he (Muhammad) was in that state and Abu Bakr finished what he needed and left. Later, Umar came and requested permission to enter and the prophet gave him permission to enter while he (Muhammad) was in that state. So Umar finished what he needed and left. Later, Uthman requested permission to enter to the prophet, so Muhammad sat up and told Aisha, “TAKE ALL THE CLOTHING THAT BELONGS TO YOU.”

'Aisha, the wife of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), and Uthman both reported that Abu Bakr sought permission from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) for entrance (in his apartment) as he had been lying on his bed covered with the bed-sheet of 'Aisha, and he gave permission to Abu Bakr in that very state and he, having his need fulfilled, went back. Then Umar sought permission and it was given to him in that very state and, after having his need fulfilled, he went back. And 'Uthman reported: Then I sought permission from him and he got up and raid to 'Aisha: Wrap yourself well with your cloth, then I got my need fulfilled and came back. And 'Aisha said: Allah's Messenger, why is it that I did not see you feeling any anxiety in case of dressing properly in the presence of Abu Bakr and 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) as you showed in case of 'Uthman. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Verily Uthman is a person who is very modest and I was afraid that if I permitted him to enter in this very state he would not inform me of his need.
The last word "Mirt" which Shamoun translated as "Garments"

In Musnad Ahmad it is reported that Huzaifa bin Yaman (RA) says;
“Then I went to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) while he was standing in prayers PUTTING ON A SHEET OF CLOTH (fi mirt) of one of his wives, having patterns of camel saddle on it (‘mirt’/sheet of cloth), when he saw me, he let me in, and threw the side of the SHEET OF CLOTH (mirt) on me.” (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 23382. Authenticated by Shu’aib Arna’ut)
I have a question to Shamoun who told him that "Mirt" means garment?

Another narration from Musnad Ahmad says about the Prophet (PBUH);
“And he was with Aisha in her sheet of cloth (mirt-iha).” (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 25215. Authenticated by Shu’aib Arna’ut)
Following the Liar Shamoun’s suggested meaning, it would mean they were both wearing same the garment.
Infact a narration similar to the one in question from Sahih Muslim also uses the same words. In it reads;
Narrated Aisha:
“Abu Bakr sought permission from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) for entrance (in his apartment) and I was with him in one sheet of cloth (mirt wahid)…”
(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 25378. Classified as Sahih by Shu’aib Arna’ut)
Meaning of the phrase towards the end of the quote:
His second lie is about the phrase towards the end of the section of the Hadith quoted. He translates the words; “Take all the clothing that belongs to you.” The absolute literal translation of this phrase has to be;
“Gather onto you your cloth.” And looking at the context and earlier discussion, it simply means
‘wrap yourself with your cloth.’
Usage of this phrase in other narrations:
One narration says;
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) dressed himself, and then went out for prayer.
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 538)
Now taking the phrase to mean the way Sam Shamoun contends, in above narrations respectively it would mean;
“Messenger of Allah took his clothes (garments) with him and then went out for prayer.”
Secondly, Shamoun should also know that Jesus was also wrapped in Virgin mary clothes. Does it means he cross-dressed?
Luke 2:7 " and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn "
